About the webinar
The Federal Government’s recently announced electric-vehicle (EV) policy Future Fuels and Vehicles Strategy focuses on accelerating the rollout of EV charging points and upgrading the electricity grid. Both are good things to invest in, but critics pointed out that the policy may be insufficient to encourage Australian consumers to transition.
Arcadis recent study, Global Electric Vehicle Catalyst Index 2021, released just days after the Federal Government announcement, also highlights the scale of the challenge. Out of 12 countries, including the US states of New York and California, Australia ranked last or second-last against three critical criteria to accelerate the transition to Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV): Government leadership and incentives, ZEV market maturity, and EV charging infrastructure.
In our upcoming Australia’s Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) challenge webinar on Thursday, 3rd March 2022 at 4:00 pm AEDT, you will hear from global and local leaders, including:
- NSW’s Net Zero Transport team, encouraging and incentivising industry to adopt ZEVs
- Shenzhen Bus Company, who recently completed the world’s largest ZEV fleet transition
- Outbound Australia, working with developers to deliver Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) solutions using ZEV
- Arcadis’ global future mobility and ZEV leaders
as they share their experience, learnings, and advice in:
- Encouraging and enabling ZEV adoption
- Creating charging network strategies and plans
- Designing and constructing charging infrastructure and networks
- Transitioning existing vehicle fleets to ZEV
- Using ZEVs within new mobility solutions
